It’s dairy alternatives month and to celebrate our vegan and lactose intolerant friends we want to share a non-dairy recipe! This recipe is perfect for a party or when you’re craving that cheesy treat. It can work for a dip, a sauce, or even a spread. It’s a delicious alternative to cheese! Ingredients
2 cups organic potatoes (peeled and diced)
1 cup organic carrots (peeled and diced)
½ cup nutritional yeast
½ cup water
1/3 cup organic extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp organic lemon juice
1 tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Directions
You can either boil or steam the potatoes and carrots for 20 minutes (or until they’re soft). Drain them and place in a blender along with the rest of the ingredients. Blend and serve!
It will keep in a sealed container in the fridge for 4-5 days and in the freezer for a couple months.
